Clothes on a budget.

Now I have a confession. I love clothes. I hate wearing the same things over and over again. So I have a little very first world problem, since I'm not shopping this year, except second hand, I've had to step up my creativity and thought when it comes to putting together good outfits. After all it's been more than two months since I purchased any item of clothing from a store

I felt pretty chuffed on the weekend to pick up some quality clothing items from the local thrift shop. 3 tops for $6, that's my kind of pricing!
I think the above top is just so beautiful and I can't wait to wear it all summer. My other finds include a stripped witchery top and checked country road shirt.
I have found that the best way to ensure you wear your thrifted items is just to go for it and make sure you wear each one as soon as you can, even if it's just to walk the dog. I must admit this whole outfit made me feel very country. Good thing I'm currently living in outback Australia.

Shirt, bag, hat thrifted. Ladakah jeans. Toms.

If I keep going like this and finding lots of secondhand clothes, then perhaps this whole not shopping thing won't be too hard.

Do you thrift your clothes? How do you make thrifted clothes work for you?

  1. Most of my wardrobe is thrifted, secondhand, hand me downs, swaps, upcycled and vintage. How do I make it work? I experiment with colours and pattern clashing at all sorts just have fun with. I buy few basic from places like Kmart like plain white tees etc and get on with it.

I loveeeeee that first top it's gorgeous.

    1. Thanks! I agree with the idea of needing cheap basics and then going crazy with fun thrifted clothes. Clashing clothes and trying new combinations is always fun. :)
