The thrifty challenge: it's over! but the blog lives on.

I started this blog a year ago now and set myself a personal challenge to only buy things second hand for a year (with the exception of some personal necessities). It's been good to give up the shopping habit but I have to admit it would have been a lot harder if I lived in a city where there were actually lots of good things around me to buy. I have loved changing up our home on the cheap.
Some of my favourite finds in the last year that I upcycled are:
Suitcase to plate rack
Upcycled artwork
1950s table fix up
I am excited to continue this blog as a craft blog focusing on reusing, recycling and reinventing everyday objects and think this year has taught me to not value new things but cherish the opportunities to give objects a new lease of life and be more inventive.
